Warm your gel pack, insert it behind the pad and wear during labour contractions as a warming compress to help prepare the perineum for labour; then cool, re-insert and wear it as you need post-birth to help soothe the vagina, perineum and surrounding area and of course, absorb postpartum flow.

Each pack contains 12 postpartum pads made with organic cotton and a reusable warming/cooling gel pack.

HOW TO USE

First, decide whether you want your gel pack warmed or cooled, and see the instructions on the back of the gel pack for the relevant preparation instructions and precautions for use (please always follow these).
Next, open up your pad so that it's laid flat, and insert your gel pack in the pocket at the back of the pad, from the top end (look for the heart & wings).
Peel open the outer wrapper of the pad - the backing paper will come away in the same motion to reveal the sticky backing of the pad.
Remove the paper from the wings to reveal their sticky backing surface.
Place the pad on the inner gusset of your undies and wrap the wings around the edges.
Wear as long as needed. Pads can be worn with or without the reusable gel pack.
Wrap and dispose of used pads thoughtfully, and reuse your gel pack as needed.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Whether the pad and gel pack is used hot or cold, it is advisable to check that the temperature is not too extreme against the skin. It is recommended that the gel pack is wrapped in cloth or used within its postpartum pad before use and not applied directly to the skin. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of gel pack if damaged.

Store your Moxie Postpartum pads in a cool, dry place.
Whilst your Moxie Postpartum pads are made using biodegradable materials like organic cotton and compostable corn-starch wrappers, please dispose of them thoughtfully in the rubbish bin after use.

GEL PACK

If you're in on the cusp of labour or in the midst of breast/chest feeding, you may opt to keep your gel pack in the fridge, at the ready for when you need it.
When not in use, store your gel pack somewhere clean and dry, away from direct heat, moisture, or sunlight.
Your Moxie gel pack is reusable and should never come into contact with your flow, as it's held between two layers of compostable film on the back of the pad. Though if you need to, you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
If your gel pack becomes damaged in any way, dispose of it immediately.
