Boxer braids are everything. They are currently the “it” hairstyle and blowing up on Instagram. If you haven’t mastered them yet then now is your chance! This hairstyle is quick and easy and not only perfect for every day but an awesome heat-less style and great for the gym too! Plus, if you leave them in overnight you will have gorgeous mermaid waves the next morning too. For this tutorial, I will show you a great way to prep the hair, especially for those gorgeous mermaid tresses, and keep the braids snug all day through a  collaboration with Walmart TRESemme! All of the products used in this tutorial can be found at your local Walmart and be sure to visit the Walmart TRESemme site for more great hair tutorials similar to this one! Now let’s get on with the tutorial for creating this fab look and bonus day two style as well! Boxer Braids Supplies: TRESemme Moisture Rich Shampoo + Conditioner TRESemme TRES Two Extra-Firm Control Mousse Wide-Tooth Comb 3 Hair Elastics TRESemme Climate Control Climate Protection Finishing Spray Step 1 / Begin by prepping the hair. I am creating this style on clean, damp hair and washed it before hand using the Tresemme Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner. This duo works great at making my hair smooth and easier to work with. Step 2 / Next, apply the Tresemme Tres Two Extra-Firm Control Mousse to the bottom half of the hair to add texture and grip to the braids. These two steps will help keep the braids snug and secure all day long without coming loose. Not to mention that sleeping in these braids will also create beautiful mermaid waves when unraveled the following morning. Step 3 / Part the hair and you can place this where you prefer. I created a diagonal part starting on the left side and going towards the center of the crown. Then continue the part down the back of the head and tie off the section on the right with a hair tie. Step 4 / Pick up triangle shaped section next to the part and divide it into three equal pieces. Step 5 / Begin a dutch braid by crossing first the right strand under the middle and then the left strand under the middle. Step 6 / Pick up a new section of hair and add it to the right strand. Then cross the right strand under the middle strand. Step 7 / Add a new section to the left strand and cross it under the middle strand. Step 8 / Continue braiding the left section adding in hair and braiding to the bottom. Then tie off the end with an elastic band. Step 9 / Repeat the same steps on the right side of the head and create a second dutch braid; braiding the hair all the way to the ends and tying them off with an elastic band. Tip: When tying off the second braid, make sure that it is the same length as the first braid. Step 10 / Next, take the Tresemme Climate Control Finishing Spray and mist both braids to smooth flyaways and ensure they stay smooth and sleek all day long. Don’t forget all of these great products used to create this cute style can be found at your local Walmart!
