The Knit Foot (also known as: Tricot Foot) makes sewing knit or other stretchy fabric easier. It is a specialty presser foot that helps to prevent puckering, thread skipping, and thread breakage.
It’s a wonderful foot to have around for sewing T-shirts, knits, and other stretch fabrics. With the Knit Foot, you can make your hems and seams smooth and professional looking.
The Knit Foot is designed to hold the fabric down firmly while the needle pierces the fabric, and then lets up on the fabric as the feed dogs rise and carry the fabric along for the next stitch. The Knit Foot basically pinches the layers of fabric together to ensure there is no slipping when you sew and then jumps over the fabric to allow it to move forward.

This knit foot is perfect for lightweight knits and very slippery lightweight or stretchy fabrics of all sorts…it’s especially good for jersey knits
VERSATILE - FITS MOST SEWING MACHINES: This foot has a regular snap-on bar and fits most home & domestic sewing that have a low-shank system (Pfaff is an exception, see below for the adapter you need).
Fits on low shank models of these brand machines: Singer, Brother, Babylock, Euro-Pro, Janome, Kenmore, White, Juki, New Home, Necchi, Elna, Husqvarna Viking, Toyota, and most other low-shank domestic machines. The knit foot is a universal snap-on foot. It is controlled by the arm on the side of the foot that sits above the needle bar and moves along with the needle. There is a little rubbery plastic blue stopper piece that grips the knit fabric firmly, stopping slips or slides as you work.
