Low Maintenance for a Giant BeautyThe biggest thing to remember for optimal health of the Queen Palm is that it needs direct sunlight . Water regularly for the first week after transplanting the palm to the ground or container. After establishment, make sure to let the soil dry out on the surface before watering. Use a slow release high-Potassium fertilizer several times in the growing season. If you keep the palm in a container and move it inside during the cold season, make sure it has access to a south-facing window. And don’t worry about pests and disease since this tree is not attractive to either. The best way to keep all diseases away is to cut back any dead or decaying fronds that can occasionally infect the Queen Palm. That’s it! Easy does it.
