The traditional Indian attire has made its debut in the Indian Navy. The top brass of the Indian Navy was seen wearing the recently permitted naval ethnic attire. It has made its debut at a Naval Officers’ Mess in the national capital New Delhi. Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, Vice Chief Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi and other naval officers wore the ethnic attire. The pictures were shared on Indian Navy’s official ‘X’ handle. This has been considered as a significant move to promote the Indian tradition and shed colonial vestiges. The officers have been allowed to wear traditional Kurta-Pyjama in the messes. Recently, the Indian Navy also unveiled the new Design of Admirals' Epaulettes.
