The Anti-Freeze Lite Down Hoodie is a lightweight, versatile and highly packable down jacket. Montane says: A minimalist master of lightweight insulation designed for fast-paced activities where low weight and packability are critical. Made using a 100% recycled PERTEX® QUANTUM ECO outer and filled with fluorocarbon-free, responsibly sourced down, this jacket serves as a sleek layering option for cold ascents or a standalone insulation piece in milder climes. Our Verdict This super cosy down jacket is perfect for chilly mornings, breaking camp or on cooler evenings when you are off for a post-hike meal. It's not something I would do strenuous hiking in, as it would quickly become too hot, but it's fantastic for dog walks or just keeping the chill off on local walks. However, it will always be in my pack on any multiday hike; the instant warmth the jacket gives makes it perfect when you stop moving and don't want your core temperature to drop. The anti-freeze has two hand-warming pockets and an internal chest pocket that can be zipped to keep valuables safe. The hood fits well and also adds an extra bit of warmth should you need it. The hood has two adjustment points around the face to keep the wind out, and the elasticated cuffs ensure a nice tight but not constrictive fit. I'm a medium in most Montane clothing and see no reason to size up or down. The jacket stuffs into a small stuff sack, which, to be honest, I don't see myself ever bringing.
